Lately I have been lucky enough to be working on a lot of covers. Here are three of the latest ones I have done for Ediciones Siruela for their narrative series.

This is the cover I did for the first issue of Drums for Image comics. Working on the covers for the series was a lot of fun. So much indeed that El Torres and myself might come up with a couple of surprises in the future…

In our world there exists an ancient religion with many names and many disguises: Candomble, Palo Mayombe, Santeria… Voodoo. FBI agent Martin Irons is sent to investigate the sudden deaths of an entire gathering of followers at a ceremony, an assignment horrible enough before one of the mangled corpses rises and leads him on a sinister path. A new horror story with possesions, santeros, zombies… all set to the thunderous boom of drums!

‘Come see the Earth turn’ by Lori Mortensen is my new picture book with Ten Speed Press, now a part of Random House books.
It tells the story of Leòn Foucalt who invented Foucalt’s pendulum.
The two pictures are my proposals for he cover. There was a different take in the end so I thought I would saw these since I like the direction they were going. The 3d ball with the type was made by my Russian friend Dani, a man of many talents. I tried to sell my idea of three dimensional type but the publisher had a different take on it.

Estas imágenes son las propuestas de portada que preparé. La versión digital en 3d es obra de mi gran amigo ruso Dani, un hombre de grandes recursos y talentos. Aún así la editorial se decantó por otro tratamiento tipográfico.
